The bonds that don't fit anywhere else

Not every surety obligation falls neatly under construction, license, court or fidelity. Federal agencies, courts, banks and municipal offices sometimes require a bond that exists only for a specific narrow purpose — replacing a lost stock certificate, releasing goods from customs, agreeing to reimburse Medicare for equipment audits, operating a state-licensed cannabis retail location.

These programs share one thing: the obligee wants an A-rated, T-Listed surety on file, and the applicant wants the bond issued fast. Our specialty desk covers the whole book — we can quote, issue and file within a business day on most clean applications.

Frequently asked questions

Good to Know

Almost certainly yes. If a federal, state or municipal agency has published a specific bond form, an A-rated carrier we submit to has almost certainly written it before. Send the form and we'll confirm same-day.

The issuer's bond form, an affidavit of loss from the owner, and a description of the instrument (issuer, serial number, dollar amount). Bond amount is usually 1× or 2× the face value depending on the transfer agent.

Continuous customs bonds ($50,000 minimum) file with CBP and typically activate within 5–10 business days. Single-entry bonds can issue same-day.
